Hello Fellow SGVSOA Officials, and Perspective New Members,
Welcome to our new website! Please take a look around to familiarize yourself with it. We will be adding more content in the weeks to come. Make sure to check back on a regular basis for updated information.
About the Unit
The San Gabriel Valley Softball Officials Association (SGVSOA) is open to any adult interested in getting involved in officiating girls high school softball. The schools we service are primarily located in the San Gabriel Valley with a few exceptions. Our organization is a member and operates under the jurisdiction of the California Softball Officials Association (CSOA) as well as the California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS).
As a member of our association officials receive both classroom instruction and field instruction regarding rules and proper mechanics for officiating high school softball. After passing a written test on NFHS rules, and meeting all other training requirements our members are certified to work all levels of high school softball including playoffs.
If you have any questions regarding the website or unit, feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
Irv Robertson
