2025 Uniform Policy

Hat

The new hat policy is in effect for the 2025 softball season. All officials shall wear the dark navy blue CIF logo hat. No other hats are to be worn by SGVSOA officials. A sample hat is attached.

Mandatory Hat

Shirts

For the 2025 and 2026 season there will be several uniform shirt options for officials to consider. Our traditional powder blue shirt with white and dark blue piping on the sleeves and collar will remain the official shirt for use through the 2026 season. However, officials can, and are encouraged, to wear the new shirt which will be mandatory for the 2027 season. The new shirts are "Columbia Blue" with a navy blue side panel and navy blue stripe on the collar. Shirts must have the official CSOA patch affixed to the left sleeve. Either shirt can be worn, but both officials must have matching shirts if working a two person game. Samples of the approved shirts are attached.

Optional Shirts 2025-2026 Seasons.

Mandatory Shirts starting in 2027.

These shirts must have the CSOA patch on them regardless if their are optional or mandatory.

Pants

For the 2025 and 2026 season there will be two colors of uniform pants officials may use while working games. The traditional heather grey pants will remain the official pants through the 2026 season. However, officials may wear charcoal grey pants if they choose, As stated above both officials must have matching pants if working a two person game. An official color for uniform pants for the 2027 season has not been announced. Samples of the approved pants are attached.

Shoes, Belt and Jacket

The uniform shoes, belt, and jacket will remain the same. Shoes must be solid black with no white striping. Belts shall be solid black and can be either regular leather or patent leather. The official jacket remains navy blue with powder blue and white piping.
